QUT's School Foodies Curriculum Planning Toolkit is the final course in a 4-year feast of research, funded by the Children's Hospital Foundation.
School Foodies was a project that used co-design. We asked and we listened to schools, principals and teachers who told us what was working and what they needed to put food and nutrition on the menu in primary schools. We discovered that schools are excited by the opportunities that food and nutrition offers, but with no time and limited resources, making it happen was a dream rather than a reality.
School Foodies was a research project undertaken by a team of researchers at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT). It was funded by the Queensland Children’s Hospital Foundation via a philanthropic donation from Woolworths staff and customers.

On the #SchoolFoodies project website you'll find links to our findings. Included are research papers on principal and teacher surveys, reviews on teacher self-efficacy in relation to food and nutrition education and a paper on school food environments in Australia. There is also a link to a discussion paper on school meals. All of these are side dishes to our final main course - this toolkit!
